Winter Wonderland at The Beach Illuminates Myrtle Beach Boardwalk for 30-Plus Days of Holiday Fun

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.—The holiday season in Myrtle Beach is magical with festive lights, live entertainment and fireworks to ring in the New Year. The fifth annual Winter Wonderland at The Beach runs nightly from Nov. 28 through Jan. 4, 2026, illuminating the iconic Myrtle Beach Boardwalk into a magical oceanfront wonderland the entire family will enjoy.

Produced by the City of Myrtle Beach in partnership with the Myrtle Beach Downtown Alliance, the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Visit Myrtle Beach, the free, 30-plus day event promises a unique blend of coastal charm and holiday spirit.

The mile-long walkable trail of lights can be enjoyed nightly from 5 to 9 p.m. from Myrtle Beach’s Plyer Park to the Second Avenue Pier. Additionally, special events are planned throughout the season, including:

• Tree Lighting & First Snow: The annual tree lighting ceremony and free holiday concert takes place on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Plyler Park. The tree will be lit at 6:15 p.m. and a playful dusting of simulated snow will bring holiday cheer.
• Twinkling Two-Miler Run: This family-friendly night run takes place on Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. starting at Plyler Park. Wear a costume and light up the night on this scenic, two-mile course. Registration is $30.
• F1rst Friday Art Walks: Shop for unique, handmade holiday gifts throughout downtown Myrtle Beach’s Arts + Innovation District on Dec. 5 and Jan. 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. where local artists, creators and musicians showcasing their talents.
• Light Up The Night Slow Roll Bike Ride: Decorate your bicycle in holiday lights and explore the Winter Wonderland lights display on two wheels during the Dec. 11 slow roll bike ride. The free, family friendly route kicks off at 6 p.m. at Grand Strand Brewing Co.
• New Year’s Eve Fireworks: Ring in 2026 with New Year’s Eve Fireworks along the boardwalk, launching from Second Avenue Pier at 9 p.m. on Dec. 31.
