This holiday season, step into the enchanting world of Winter Wonderland at the Beach — a month-long holiday festival featuring Myrtle Beach’s only oceanfront lights display.
With over one million dazzling lights illuminating the Boardwalk and surrounding areas, this event transforms downtown into a festive retreat unlike any other on the Grand Strand.
Drawing more than 100,000 visitors each year, Winter Wonderland has quickly become a cherished holiday tradition for both locals and visitors. From breathtaking light displays to unforgettable family-friendly festivities, this celebration brings the magic of the holidays to life in the heart of Myrtle Beach.

Nightly from 5-9 p.m. on The Boardwalk
Experience the magic of the Winter Wonderland Lights Display as the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk transforms into a sparkling winter dream each evening. The stunning light installations, featuring dazzling holiday themes and vibrant colors, create a festive atmosphere perfect for a stroll with family or friends. Whether you're enjoying the shimmering snowflakes, twinkling trees, or illuminated displays, the lights bring an enchanting glow to the heart of Myrtle Beach throughout the holiday season.
Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025, from 5-7 p.m.
Come to Plyler Park for the perfect kickoff to the holiday season. As the tree comes to life with dazzling lights, the park transforms with a flurry of “first snow”, a playful dusting of fake snow for kids to run through. Enjoy live performances and a fun-filled, unforgettable evening for all.

Join us for the Twinkling Two-Miler in Myrtle Beach! This family-friendly night run takes you on a scenic two-mile course, illuminated by dazzling holiday lights and festive decor. Perfect for runners and walkers of all ages, this event brings the holiday spirit to life with every step. Participants receive a glow item, and costumes are encouraged, adding to the fun atmosphere. Celebrate the season in a unique way and make lasting memories at this holiday event!
Get a taste of downtown’s Arts + Innovation District during the holiday edition of these monthly art walk events, which feature local artists, musicians and artisans showcasing their work. Get unique, locally-made holiday gifts at Kaleidoscope Artisan Collective, Gallery 320, Vision Arts Gallery of Myrtle Beach and William H. Miller Studios & Fine Art, sample the cuisine at Boteco VIP, Winna’s Kitchen and Tasting Room on 9th or grab a frosty winter brew at Grand Strand Brewing Company.

Check out the “Light Up The Night” Slow Roll Bike Ride to explore the Winter Wonderland at The Beach lights display on two wheels. Bring your bike, decked out in its holiday best, with lights, ribbons and other holiday decor to join a fun group of local bike enthusiasts as you roll through downtown. The route will begin and end at Grand Strand Brewing Co. and will make brief stops at Second Avenue Pier, Plyler Park and Boardwalk Bikes along the way. Holiday trivia will be held at the brewery following the conclusion of the ride. No registration necessary.

Beyond the lights, Winter Wonderland offers plenty of entertainment. Ring in 2026 with New Year’s Eve Fireworks along the boardwalk, launching from Second Avenue Pier at 9 p.m. Then check out festivities at tons of local businesses throughout downtown or head over to the Market Common’s popular “A Southern Times Square” event.
