Winter Wonderland at The Beach brings the magic of the holidays to life, right in the heart of Myrtle Beach.
During this festive season, the downtown and boardwalk areas will be transformed into a sparkling holiday dreamland, filled with twinkling lights and family fun.
This all-new holiday spectacular will operate seven days a week throughout the holidays and features a walkthrough lights display, an ice skating rink and plenty of special events.
Winter Wonderland at The Beach will operate seven days a week from Friday, November 26, 2021 to Sunday, January 2, 2022. The event will be closed on Christmas Day.
Note: The Winter Wonderland lights display will turn on each evening at 5 pm. During the hours before 5 pm, the ice rink and other festivities will be open.
The festival will be open only from noon to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Friday, December 24. It will be ice skating only for Christmas Eve, no lights show. You must be in line by 4 p.m. to get in. Winter Wonderland at the Beach will be closed Christmas Day. These hours give employees time to spend the holiday with their family and friends.
Note: The smallest skate available will be child’s size 8. Rental skates are lace-up Bauer skates (Hockey skates, no toe pick).
Winter Wonderland at the Beach will take place at Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place, 812 N. Ocean Boulevard, Myrtle Beach (Get Directions). Visitors are also encouraged to stroll the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and take in the decor and live entertainment at Plyler Park as part of the event experience.

This will mark the first time in many years that a real, outdoor ice surface has been brought to the Myrtle Beach area.

A path throughout the park will take you on a walking tour of Toyland, Peppermint Valley, and other light displays, where you and your family can take pictures and interact at each spot. Each area is decorated with different types of lights, from traditional holiday favorites to beach-themed fun.
Local businesses in the downtown area and along the boardwalk will also get in on the festivities by adding lights to their balconies, walls, or roof to light up all of downtown Myrtle Beach!
In addition to the activities inside the gates of Winter Wonderland at The Beach, there will also be plenty of festivities happening throughout downtown during the holiday season. The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk will be lit up to mark the occasion, with many shops and restaurants also joining in on the fun.
After you've worked up a hunger while ice skating, you can make a pit stop at RipTydz, Tin Roof, Landshark Bar & Grill or one of the many other great eateries along the promenade. Enjoy delicious seafood and stunning views of the moonlit ocean as your stroll along the Boardwalk.
Just north of Winter Wonderland at The Beach, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk extends along the beach to the famous Plyler Park, home of the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel and filled with festive holiday cheer. The park is decked out for the season, adorned with holiday lights and a Christmas tree.
Each Friday and Saturday in December from 2-6 p.m., bring the family out to meet Santa and his helpers while enjoying live entertainment, kids crafts and much more. This free entertainment is hosted by the Oceanfront Merchants Association and part of the Winter Wonderland at The Beach experience.

Tickets may only be purchased at the gate, which is inside the event. The entrance to the event is located along Ocean Blvd. between 8th and 9th Avenues North.

Yes, each attendee will be provided with a wristband that is good for re-entry on the date purchased. Wristbands are only good for a cingle day and we will change colors each day.
Yes, only credit cards or debit cards will be allowed for payment. This is a cashless event and no cash accepted.
No, there are no discounts for groups or tickets this year. We have had many requests for this and will consider it for next season.
Weapons, smoking, vaping, alcohol, fireworks and sparklers are all prohibited. Also, grinches are prohibited. Please come in the holiday spirit and ready to enjoy the event.
No food or beverage will be available for purchase this year. We encourage you to enjoy one of the many nearby restaurants and businesses downtown and along the boardwalk for all your food and beverage needs.
Yes, non-alcoholic beverages and food items are permitted inside Winter Wonderland at the Beach.
Yes, you may bring your own stroller or wagon. However, there are not any strollers or wagons available for rent at the event.
Yes, the event is located on grass and is wheelchair-accessible. There will not be wheelchairs available for rent/use on site.
Yes, you may. Tickets for ice skating are $20 each including skate rental or $15 if you bring your own skates. This $5 discount also applies to combo tickets for both ice skating and the lights display.

Santa will be appearing throughout the holiday season at nearby Plyer Park, just a short walk down the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk from Winter Wonderland at the Beach. Santa will appear each weekend from 2-6 pm at the park.
Warm clothing, hats and gloves are suggested but there is no specific dress code for skating. You will need to bring socks if you plan on renting skates.

Myrtle Beach area residents have the opportunity to spread some holiday cheer by volunteering at the new Winter Wonderland at The Beach festival, the 37-day event running Nov. 26 through Jan. 2, 2022, at Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place in downtown Myrtle Beach. Officials with the City of Myrtle Beach are seeking volunteers to assist city staff members with greeting and guiding festivalgoers, handing out HARIBO gummi bear treats to children, and assisting at the ticket counter.
